Why You Should Avoid Static Stretching Before a Workout 🧐

Static stretching—holding a stretch for an extended period

Although you did this in gym class and it might feel good, it’s not ideal before strength training. Static stretching before weight training can reduce muscle strength, power, and explosiveness, which can negatively impact your performance. Instead, opt for mobilty work and dynamic stretching, which warms up your muscles, increases blood flow, and preps your body for movement. Save static stretching for after your workout when your muscles are warm and more receptive to flexibility gains.

Make the switch and maximize your performance! šŸ’ŖšŸ”„

a goal without a process is just a dream

"Your body is the vehicle to living your best life. Your body will allow you to create the life of your dreams or inhibit you. How you feel drives the decisions you make and if your mind and body doesn't perform then you're risking your greatest investment. My goal as a coach is to enhance your quality of life by helping you feel and perform at your best."-Ben Pakulski
